The InterAct Core Playwrights Program offers developmental support to four talented Philadelphia writers. The program is a two year journey designed to bring exceptional local playwrights closer to their full potential: one-on-one dramaturgy, monthly developmental readings, and specialized workshops, all culminating in staged readings each June.
Sam Henderson is a Philadelphia actor and 2nd year Foundry member. Productions: His work has appeared at the Plays & Players 2013 24-Hour Play Festival and the 2014 Solow Festival. Readings include the 2013 215 Festival, Writer’s Night In America, and the 2014 Philadelphia New Play Initiative Local Writer’s Weekend. He is a first-year member of Interact Theatre’s Core Writer’s Program 2014-2016.
James Ijames is a Philadelphia-based actor and playwright. His plays include The Most Spectacularly Lamentable Trial of Miz Martha Washington, Moon Man Walk, The Threshing Floor, and Osiris:Redux. …Miz Martha was developed with PlayPenn and the Wilma Theater and received its world premiere with Flashpoint Theater. His play Moon Man Walk received a reading with Azuka Theater Company.
