Foundry playwright Emma Goidel’s new one-act We Can All Agree To Pretend This Never Happened will premier at Tiny Dynamite in a co-production with InterAct Theatre Company as part of the A Play, A Pie & A Pint festival series.
We Can All Agree To Pretend This Never Happened is a modern farce about researchers faking results in their Siberian lab. Tiny Dynamite describes the piece as “a hilarious play about scientists with a serious mission.” The play is directed by Kittson O’Neill and features Corinna Burnes, J Hernandez, Dave Johnson, and Alice Yorke.
Goidel is a Writing Fellow at off-Broadway theater the Playwrights’ Realm, as well as a member of Orbiter 3, a producing playwrights collective in Philadelphia. Her play Safe Space, co-written with Foundry playwrights Emily Acker and Douglas Williams, played a sold-out run in the recent FringeArts festival and received critical praise.
We Can All Agree To Pretend This Never Happened was commissioned by Tiny Dynamite last spring for their A Play, A Pie, and A Pint festival in which one act plays are served up alongside a slice of pizza and a beer for $15 at a non-traditional time of day (6:30pm). This is the first commission from the company, which began producing in 2010.
We Can All Agree To Pretend This Never Happened runs October 23, 24, and 26 at Society Hill playhouse.
